KEY POINTS

  • Ayaka is one of the first characters introduced in “Genshin Impact” closed beta test
  • She is believed to be playable in the game soon
  • Here are the essential things about Ayaka that “Genshin Impact” players should know

MiHoYo previously mentioned that its roadmap would include three patches that would update “Genshin Impact” every six weeks.

The game’s Update 1.3 is set to arrive in February, but rumors and leaks about the next batch of playable characters launching in the game via Update 1.4 are available online. One of these rumored characters is the princess of the House of Kamizato, Ayaka.

Who is Ayaka

Ayaka was introduced in the game’s video that surfaced in 2019 ahead of the official release of “Genshin Impact.” She was one of the playable characters in the first closed beta test of the game but was no longer featured in it. Based on miHoYo’s description, Ayaka practices swordsmanship by slicing falling snowflakes floating around her. She is the princess of the House of Kamisato in Inazuma, a region many players are waiting to unlock. She is a five-star Cryo character that wields a sword.

Ayaka Talents, Skills, Abilities

Ayaka’s talents, skills, and abilities are from the “Genshin Impact” closed beta test, which means these could still change on her official release. When Ayaka performs a normal attack, she could execute five rapid strikes. Her charged attack allows her to a continuous stream of sword ki, but it consumes a particular amount of her Stamina.

As for her plunging attack, Ayaka plunges from mid-air to hit the ground below causing damage to opponents along the way and dealing with AoE damage on impact. Meanwhile, her Elemental Skill is called the Kamisato Art – Hyouka where she releases ice that surrounds her and later enables her to launch on nearby enemies, causing AoE Cryo damage. She also has the Kamisato Art- Senho Elemental Skill that replaces her Sprint.

This skill allows her to hide within a swift flow of sleet that follows her movement. In Senho form, Ayaka can move at high speed on the water and when she reappears, she inflicts Cryo on nearby enemies. Her blade also forms Cryo that converts her Attack DMG into Cryo DMG for a short time.

Ayaka’s Elemental Burst is called Kasimato Art- Suometsu, which enables her to collect frost using her fan and sword and create bladestorms that continuously moves forward. Her bladestorms deal Cryo damage to all enemies in its path. Interestingly, after the Damage over Time (DoT) ends, the bladestorm will explode, causing Cryo damage to all foes in a larger radius.

Ayaka Release Date

MiHoYo has not revealed anything about the upcoming updates of “Genshin Impact.” However, according to insider NEP NEP, Ayaka might arrive in the hit gacha game on Mar. 17 through Update 1.4. This seemingly aligns with miHoyo’s six-week regular update release.

The insider’s information also hints that the Inazuma region would most likely release in “Genshin Impact” in Update 1.4. Previous leaks shared by NEP revealed new sets of Inazuma weapons, which support this unlocking of a new region in the game. It is worth noting, however, that these details are not official, so fans should take it with a pinch of salt.
