  • "Genshin Impact" grossed $100 million a few days following its official release
  • The game is playable on PC, PS4, iOS and Android devices
  • Several "Genshin Impact" players are complaining about the game's major endgame issue

“Genshin Impact” has taken the world by storm and its phenomenal success plows on after it grossed $100 million just days after its release. The new free-to-play ARPG title is a breath of fresh air for many gamers, especially those on mobile devices looking for something beyond the battle royale and shooter genre. Interestingly, several players claimed that “Genshin Impact” has a major end game issue.

Forbes’ Paul Tassi mentioned in his article that once “Genshin Impact” players hit Adventure Rank 30, there is very little left to do except spend Resins after solving puzzles and completing all the missions. Players with Adventure rank 30 or higher will soon discover that the entire game is reduced to doing daily login quests and spending between 120 and 200 recharging Resin each day, the writer noted.

“Genshin Impact” is unlike typical RPG titles because it uses the gacha system. This particular system is a monetization structure typical in mobile games where purchasable in-game currency, in this case, Resin, is spent in exchange for random rewards in various forms. This is the other side of the mobile coin or gacha that most players are not happy about.

Tassi’s sentiment is echoed by other players in the “Genshin Impact” subreddit. One gamer said that if MiHoYo could not address several issues, with Resin being one of those, it would see a lot of players leaving the game. Interestingly, another player pointed out that the endgame issue of “Genshin Impact” is not about Resin but its lack of proper content.

Reddit user levitatingmedia detailed his concerns about the endgame of “Genshin Impact.” Players need actual stimulating content that would allow them to have fun and keep them busy when they are fully geared out, he said. The Reddit user suggested raid-like content like solo or co-op missions.

MiHoYo earlier said that it is very open for players’ feedback so it could improve “Genshin Impact” and make it more fun for gamers. The Chinese gaming studio also assured fans that new updates would be rolled out every six weeks moving forward. Currently, “Genshin Impact” launched its first event dubbed as the Elemental Crucible, which offers rewards like character XP, Primogems, Ascencion materials and Adventure XP. The event is centered on spending Resin on bounties to collect things.
