  • The update will feature the new playable character Xiao
  • "Genshin Impact" is now available on PC, PlayStation, iOS and Android devices

As part of the gacha element in "Genshin Impact," players are required to pull playable characters using Wishes and rely on sheer luck. But there is a way to obtain Barbara for free for a limited time, although the process is not as easy as it sounds.

How to get Barbara for free

"Genshin Impact" players can get Barbara for a particular time and avoid the game's gacha element. But this is only available for players who created their accounts before Sept. 28, 2020, or for those who registered their accounts before update 1.1 was released. The patch was released on Nov. 11.

Aside from this, players must be at Adventure Rank Level 20 to avail Barbara for free. To some, reaching this level is very challenging but there are lots of exciting ways to obtain the level fast. Aside from doing the main story missions, players can also rely on their Daily Commissions. Each commission offers 200 Adventure EXP. They can also hunt down bosses and clear domains to earn more EXP. When players reach Adventure Rank 20, they can get their hands on Barbara for free.

Who is Barbara

The spellcaster is a four-star character but she can do more than just making the entire party feel better. Apart from her Hydro abilities, she is one of the few characters in "Genshin Impact" that uses Catalyst. Like Lisa, she can wield powerful catalysts and use them as weapons to deal damage through magic.

As a healer, the intensity of her healing effect is relevant to her HP level. Additionally, her healing ability is not dependent on her Mastery and ATK stats. So, players must concentrate on feeding Barbara's hit points. They should also take note of the kind of equipment they use on her because of the way her healing functions.

"Genshin Impact" is now available on PC, PlayStation, iOS and Android devices. The hit gacha title is also in development for PS5.
