Gigi Hadid has released a statement addressing the alleged dispute between her boyfriend Zayn Malik and her mother Yolanda Hadid.

A spokesperson for the supermodel, 26, told E! News Thursday that she is focusing on her and Malik's 13-month-old daughter, Khai, amid the reports. She also declined to make any further comments.

"Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time," the rep said.

Hours earlier, TMZ reported, citing unnamed sources with direct knowledge of the matter, that the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum claimed she was involved in a physical altercation with the former One Direction member, 28.

Yolanda alleged that Malik "struck" her last week and claimed that she was considering filing a police report, according to the outlet's sources. No details were provided regarding what Yolanda claims triggered the alleged assault, but sources claimed she stands by her account.

No police report has been filed thus far, the outlet noted.

Malik later said in a statement to TMZ that he "adamantly" denies the claims that he struck his partner's mother and hopes Yolanda will "reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private."

Moments before TMZ published its report, Malik took to Twitter to seemingly address the situation, claiming in a lengthy statement that someone had "leaked" the story about him and Yolanda to the press.

"As you all know I am a private person and I very much want to create a safe and private place for my daughter to grow up in," the singer stated. "A place where private family matters aren't thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart. In an effort to protect that space for her, I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner's who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago."

Malik added that this should have been a "private matter," but despite his efforts to try to restore their family to a "peaceful" environment, their argument was "leaked" to the media.

Yolanda has not publicly addressed the allegations.

Prior to the alleged dispute, there had been no reports of any issues between Malik and Yolanda. Earlier this year, Gigi even spoke about her mom and her boyfriend's bond in an interview with Harper's Bazaar.

"He's usually on my mom's side," Gigi said of their family discussions. "So, he's smart in that sense."

Gigi and Malik had an on-again, off-again relationship for four years before they reconciled in late 2019 and welcomed their daughter in September last year.

The singer announced the arrival of their bundle of joy on Twitter, sharing a photo of him holding his daughter's hand.

"Our baby girl is here, healthy [and] beautiful to try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding," Malik wrote at the time. "Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine [and] thankful for the life we will have together."
