  • Gigi Hadid, Irina Shayk and Ashley Graham, among many other models, will auction off their clothes
  • Proceeds will go to two great causes, NHS and NAACP
  • This comes in the wake of George Floyd's death

Irina Shayk, Gigi Hadid, Joan Smalls and Kendall Jenner, among many other big names in the modeling industry, are putting their clothes up for auction for charity.

The stunners partnered with British Vogue and Hardly Ever Worn It to auction off their things, some of which are designer pieces. The proceeds will be given to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the NHS Charities Together, Page Six reported.

Some accessories and clothes worn by these models, which have been posted on social media and are featured in the July issue of British Vogue, will be up for grabs on the website of Hardly Ever Worn It.

Hadid’s Dior saddle bag and Fenty denim corset were shown off in a selfie that the pregnant celebrity posted. In the photo, her baby daddy, Zayn Malik, joined her as she displayed her designer belongings. The 25-year-old’s sister, Bella Hadid, will also donate a pair of Miu-Miu boots to the auction.

In addition, Jenner plucked a Chanel jacket from her closet that will also be auctioned off. Models Karlie Kloss and Ashley Graham will be giving away Christian Siriano cocktail dresses.

Kate Moss’ leather jacket from Alexander McQueen, as well as Helen Christensen’s wrap dress from Christian Dior, are up for bidding as well. Christy Turlington’s floral gown from H&M Conscious Executive will also be sold for charity.

“#TheWayWeWoreAuction is now open for bidding for 72 hours only. From #KateMoss’ @AlexanderMcQueen leather jacket to #AdutAkech ’s @ChanelOfficial bag and #ShalomHarlow ’s @Versace robe, see all of the supermodel donations at Vogue.hardlyeverwornit.com now,” British Vogue announced on Instagram.

The auction for a cause by the models came in the midst of the outpouring of support from celebrities for the protests across the U.S. in the wake of George Floyd’s death. The murder of the black man by the police sparked unrest and outrage as people took to the streets to protest the racial injustice deeply embedded in the system.

Floyd was arrested and pinned to the ground by a police officer, Derek Chauvin, who knelt on the neck of the accused. Floyd was only let go once he was found to be unconscious.
