The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced its nominations on Thursday morning for the 69th annual Golden Globes.

Among the big nomination winners, silent movie The Artist was nominated for six different awards, including best film comedy or musical.

Ryan Gosling was nominated for Best Actor in both comedy (Crazy, Stupid, Love) and drama (The Ides of March). Gosling's The Ides of March was also nominated for Best Picture, Best Director (George Clooney), and Best Screenplay.

In television, Boardwalk Empire netted three nominations, including a best actor nod for Steve Buscemi, while Zooey Deschanel's New Girl earned nominations for Best Comedy and Best Actress for Comedy or Musical.

Not everyone was a big Golden Globe nominations winner, though. Both Parks and Recreation and Community were snubbed in the Best Comedy Series category.

The award show is set for Jan. 15 and will be hosted by Ricky Gervais for the third straight year.
