The countdown for the 2012 Golden Globes is nearly over, with just a few hours until the nominees step out onto the red carpet.

The awards will be broadcast live from the Beverley Hilton Hotel on NBC at 5 to 8 p.m. PT, or 8 to 11 p.m. ET. UStream, TV.com and Justin.TV will all be live-streaming the show, but some of these outlets could show distributed poor quality coverage.

The awards can also be followed on the Golden Globes official Facebook page, where Jessica Alba will be live blogging from the event. Clips will also be posted on the Facebook page and Hulu.com.

Comedian Ricky Gervais, hosting the 69th annual awards, is expected to keep the audience entertained throughout the night. Viola Davis for her role in The Help, George Clooney for his role in The Descendants, and the film The Artist, are all expected winners.

Between 4,000 and 5,000 guests are expected at this year's Golden Globe Awards, and there will be several after parties across floors of the Beverley Hilton, some of which will be broadcast on NBC, according the Hollywood Reporter
