Actor Ed Westwick, who rose to fame as playboy Chuck Bass in the popular TV drama "Gossip Girl," joined TikTok on Monday afternoon and his huge fanbase has been going wild ever since.

The actor reprised his "Gossip Girl" character of Charles Bartholomew Bass (also known as Chuck Bass) in his first TikTok video and asked his followers to let him know they have watched the show "without actually telling him."

The reenactment of Westwick's dapper, smooth-talking businessman character certainly brought back some buried excitement from “Gossip Girl” fans after he posted the video. During the 10-second video, the now 33-year-old English actor asked the TikTok app users to participate in a challenge.

“TikTok! Tell me you’ve watched the Gossip Girl without actually telling me you’ve watched the Gossip Girl. “I’ll start," he said. The video then cuts to Westwick sitting on a sofa in a suave businessman get-up, complete with a button-up, necktie and vest while whispering: "I'm Chuck Bass."

The said video, shared by Twitter user Masuda, has already gained more than 250,000 views in just half a day.

Reactions from several “Gossip Girl” fans stormed Twitter after Westwik’s TikTok video went viral.

“I just heard Ed Westwick say I’m Chuck Bass in the year of our Lord 2021 and I'm now careening through space,” one fan said.

“Chuck Bass popping up on my fyp is 100% a sign that I need to re-watch Gossip Girl,” another fan tweeted.

Another fan said that Westwick’s “Gossip Girl” character was her favorite because of his growth. She also said that she’ll always be giddy hearing the name, Chuck Bass.

“Ed Westwick just became Chuck Bass on TikTok and my heart,” another series fan said. “Brb re-watching gossip girl for the 15th time.”

One emotional “Gossip Girl” fan shared that it was her comfort show and she wanted to cry because it was no longer airing on Netflix.

Although “Gossip Girl” ended a few years ago, fans are still crazy about Westwick’s character in the show. On the Twitter thread, several fans took the opportunity to profess their feelings toward Upper East Side’s bad boy.

Westwick’s latest project is the film “Me You Madness.” According to his Twitter post, it is slated for release in the US on Feb. 12.

Westwick will play the role of Tyler Jones, the love interest of Catherine Black —a character played by Louise Linton. Aside from playing as one of the film’s lead characters, Linton was also the writer and director of the movie, Big News Network reported.
