  • Hailey Bieber said she has spoken to her husband Justin Bieber's ex Selena Gomez since her wedding to the "Baby" crooner
  • The model clarified that she and Gomez are "good" and "it's all respect" between them
  • Hailey shared that the conversation with Gomez brought her "a lot of peace"

Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez have no bad blood, despite what the internet may believe.

The model, 25, recently sat down for an interview on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, where she dished about her marriage to Justin Bieber and rumors that she "stole" the singer from his ex-girlfriend.

Hailey, who got engaged to Justin a few months after the "Baby" hitmaker and Gomez split for good in 2018, made it clear that there is "no drama" between her and the former Disney Channel star.

Though she did not detail what exactly they talked about, the model shared that she's spoken to Gomez since tying the knot with Justin in September 2018, and all of them have already moved on.

"I respect her; there's no drama, personally," Hailey said of Gomez on the podcast, as quoted by People. "So that's why I'm like, it's all respect, it's all love. That's also why I feel like, well, if everybody on our side knows what happened and we're good and we could walk away from it with clarity and respect, then that's fine."

Podcast host Alex Cooper chimed in saying that as long as she knows she's good with Gomez, then that's all that matters.

Hailey shared that the conversation with Gomez brought her "a lot of peace," adding, "I'm like, hey, we know what happened, it is what it is."

The model also explained that she did not address the rumors in the past because she believes anything she says will only fuel the speculation.

"You're never going to be able to, like, correct every narrative and there's going to be new ones that come," the Rhode Skin founder told Cooper. "It's never going to end and that's why I get to the point where I'm like ... that's why I didn't speak about a lot of this stuff, because I'm like, there'll be something new. There will probably be something new from this interview!"

Hailey went on to deny the speculation that she became involved with Justin while he was still dating Gomez. The model clarified that Justin was not in a relationship with anyone when she started dating the "Yummy" crooner.

While she added that it is "not [her] character to mess with someone's relationship," Hailey stated that she does understand the attention surrounding her marriage, and how it relates to her husband's past relationships.

"Well I think even for starters, even me talking about him, or talking about our relationship, people will take that and be like, 'All she ever talks about is her relationship with him,'" the model said. "Even something like that, I'm just like, well we are married, and he's a huge part of my life, and obviously people are very interested in our life together."

A number of Justin and Gomez's fans, who call the pair "Jelena," reportedly still hope for the pair's reconciliation. Some of Justin and Hailey's fans have also attacked Gomez online, including accusing the "Rare" singer back in May of copying the model for a TikTok video in which she showed her skincare routine.

Gomez immediately shut down the speculations and turned off the comments of her post.

"This is why I believe in taking care of your mental health," Gomez commented, according to a screenshot obtained by Pop Crave. "Guys, no idea what I did, but I really am sorry. Zero bad intention. Deleting soon."

Gomez previously seemingly alluded to the drama surrounding her split from Justin during an Instagram Live, where she discussed her song "Look at Her Now."

"I am grateful for the response that the song is getting. I'm so grateful. However, I do not stand for women tearing women down," she said after Hailey liked an Instagram post from Elle magazine that featured Gomez as its cover star. "I will never, ever be by that. So please be kind to everyone. It doesn't matter what the situation is, if you're my fans don't be rude to anybody, please."
