“Days of Our Lives” alums Jen Lilley and Brant Daugherty are teaming up for Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas premiere of “Mingle All the Way” on Saturday.

Although this is Lilley’s second Hallmark movie just in 2018, Daugherty’s making his network debut with the Christmas flick. It’s not his first foray into the genre, though, as he starred in ION’s “Merry Kissmas” in 2015.

Something new for each of them, however, was working together, despite them both having worked on NBC’s “Days” in the past.

“Brant and I had never met before, but it was absolutely wonderful working with him,” Lilley told International Business Times. “He’s such a nice guy. His fiancée, Kim [Hidalgo], came up, and she was awesome. So, it was just nice to work with him. He’s such a professional. Super nice guy, very intelligent, and so he was really easy to work with.”

Aside from loving “Mingle All the Way” because of her great co-star, Lilley also feels that way about the flick because she appreciates that it’s a very modern rom-com.

“When Molly Hoffman (Lilley) launches a new social media app that pairs busy singles with ‘strictly platonic’ partners for all the social commitments of the holiday season, she becomes one of its test users in the hope of winning over a potential investor with her positive experience,” the synopsis shares. “Molly is matched by the Mingle All the Way app with handsome Jeff Scanlon (Daugherty), an ambitious advertising executive who wants the right woman on his arm during the holidays to impress his boss. Initially put off by each other, Molly and Jeff soon accept the match as a success, since it meets both their needs for social companionship.”

The synopsis continues: “They take things a step further when Jeff introduces Molly as his girlfriend to the boss, and Molly presents Jeff as her new boyfriend to the family, hoping to somehow satisfy her mom, Veronica (Lindsey Wagner), who wants Molly to give up her tech venture and rejoin the Hoffman family accounting firm. The app is proving to be a success, and everything is working smoothly until the one thing neither of them expected – a genuine attraction – diverts their plans for the fake relationship, and they find themselves facing professional disasters while clearly falling for one another.”
