2020 has not been a year where news has been overly joyful for the most part—but those who look forward to the staple drink of the Fall season may not have a reason to finally be happy, because it is officially PSL season!

Starbucks has rolled out their Pumpkin Spice Latte prior to the official start of Fall, and the drinks are officially being served in cafes as of August 25. This is the earliest date they have ever been released, with the 2019 release occurring on August 27.

According to CNN, in addition to bringing PSL back to stores, the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is also back, as are two bakery items—a pumpkin scone and pumpkin cream cheese muffin. The lineup comes one week after Dunkin Donuts also rolled out its fall lineup of drinks.

Needless to say, the news of PSL coming out so early was met with joy by fans of the drink on Twitter.

Several others were quick to share that they refused to wait on getting their hands on their Fall drinks, with many sharing they had already enjoyed their first sips.

However, some noted that the early arrival of the drinks was also a bit bittersweet because while bringing them back early was a nice surprise during a year that was deeply affected by COVID-19, it didn’t change the fact that the pandemic had drained a lot of people of their energy and excitement completely.

Still, some were grateful it came back so soon.

Of course, while one of the most popular drinks Starbucks has throughout the year, it isn’t the only limited run beverage that tends to get fans crazed and excited. The Holiday drinks have also been known to get people excited as well, with a lineup including Peppermint Mocha, Eggnog, Chestnut Praline and more lattes. Those drinks were released on Nov. 7 last year, and some fans are already wondering when one particular favorite from that collection will make its 2020 debut.
