'Heroes Of The Storm' World Championship

Only two teams have secured a spot in the semifinals of the "Heroes of the Storm" World Championship at BlizzCon 2015, the giant celebration of Blizzard games held at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. With two spots up for grabs, the Friday group play will be intense. The first ever "Heroes of the Storm" World Championship live stream begins at 4 p.m. PST (7 p.m. EST).

Cloud9, winners of the Americas Championship to advance to BlizzCon 2015, continued their strong play in their first two Group A matches of the inaugural world championship. The Americas champion defeated GIA and Team Dignitas to advance. Team YL must stave off elimination after losing to Team Dignitas in the first round of the tournament. Taiwan's GIA are in the same position as Team YL. The teams will face off in an elimination match, with the winner advancing to play Team Dignitas in a decider match.

In Group B, Natus Vincere, better known as Na 'Vi, dominated the field. The Europe champion defeated Brave Heart and Team DK to secure a place in the semifinals. Na 'Vi is considered the team to beat, according to Score eSports.

Americas' representative Tempo Storm, having lost to Team DK, will face off against Brave Heart in the elimination round. The winner will face Team DK in the decider match.

Over $700,000 has already been won by teams in the regional stages leading up to the "Heroes of the Storm" World Championship at BlizzCon 2015. The prize pool reaches $500,000 with the winner taking home $200,000. The second-place team leaves with $120,000, while the third and fourth place teams earn $50,000 each.
