  • Fans showered her with birthday greetings on Instagram
  • The reality star wants to get weight loss surgery after her birthday

Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson is no longer "sweet sixteen."

The reality star officially turned 17 on Sunday, and she's getting closer to her planned weight loss makeover.

The former "Toddlers & Tiaras" star has yet to reveal how she celebrated her birthday. But she posted an update on her Instagram the day prior.

In a video she uploaded, Honey Boo Boo showcased behind-the-scenes footage of her family's successful meet and greet in Atlanta sans Mama June Shannon, 43, earlier this month.

The clip featured several fans expressing their support for the reality stars. Many of them revealed they drove from distant places to see Honey Boo Boo and her sister Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon, 22, in Georgia.

Also seen in the video is Alana's boyfriend, 21-year-old Dralin Carswell, signing shirts beside his girlfriend. The family also posed for some photos with their fans in one scene.

Honey Boo Boo's fans and followers quickly flooded her latest post with positive comments. Many greeted her with a happy birthday, while others extended their well-wishes.

"Happy 17th Birthday, Alana!! Dancing Queen," one wrote.

"Happy weekend [and] best wishes. How I wish that I were there," another added.

"So happy for y'all!" a different user commented.

Alana and her family will come to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as part of their summer tour to meet their fans around the country. Unfortunately, Mama June would still not join them on their next tour stop on Sept. 24.

Meanwhile, the "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" alum is inching closer to her planned weight loss procedure. She revealed last month that she was thinking of having a physical transformation after her 17th birthday.

Her manager, Gina Rodriguez, also confirmed that Alana would be heading to Queens, New York in late August to have a suture sculpt endoscopic sleeve from weight loss doctor Steven Batash.

According to Mama June's youngest daughter, she's getting the medical procedure after trying all sorts of diets and weight loss regimens.

"I know for a fact I could get in the gym, and I know for a fact I could diet, and I know for a fact I can do this to lose my weight. I've tried. I will say I've tried, but the one thing with me is I have no motivation. I have no motivation to just keep going to the gym every day," the reality star said.
