Honey Boo Boo ‘Doesn’t Care What People Think’ After Mama June’s Arrest

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson just sent a strong message against all her bashers online. Mama June’s youngest daughter clapped back at people who have been criticizing her weight ever since their WE tv series premiered last week.

On Wednesday, Alana took to Instagram to share a photo of her doing a duck face while inside a car. The 13-year-old is known for her crazy antics on all of the reality shows she’s been a part of, and her exaggerated pout in the snap is clearly her way of saying that she’s just being herself.

“Why should I care what other people think of me ? I am who I am. And who I wanna be,” Honey Boo Boo captioned her post.

It appears the former “Toddlers and Tiaras” star may have caught wind of the criticisms being thrown at her by some viewers of their show. Apparently, many people feel that she’s gained a lot of weight and she’s on her way to becoming the next Mama June.

“Someone needs to help Alana lose weight. She is way too young to be that big. It can’t be healthy. Do something!! She has other adults in her life other than the ones who are unhealthy themselves. …” Twitter user Traci DeGraffenreid wrote.

“… I do agree that she needs to be in the gym and with a nutritionist. Does she even go to school? What hope does this kid have for a normal life with parents like Mike and June?” another user commented.

Many others joined in on the conversation and one pointed out that what Honey Boo Boo needs is to get away from her mother, who is currently involved with a guy who’s been in and out of prison and is clearly a bad influence on her.

Ahead of the premiere of “From Not To Hot” Season 3 last Friday, Mama June and her boyfriend, Geno Doak, were arrested at an Alabama gas station after police were notified of a domestic dispute. The cops who arrived on the scene found needles, a pipe with residue and a pill bottle with white powder, which Mama June herself confirmed to be crack cocaine.

The couple has already been released, but both of them were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Geno, who has a lengthy criminal record, was also charged with domestic violence.

Earlier this week, WE tv released an official statement regarding Mama June’s arrest. The network assured fans that it is closely monitoring the television personality and her family amid this difficult time.
