Camilla Parker Bowles turned 71 on July 17, and she celebrated her special day with Prince Charles by her side.

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall were in St. Mary’s on the Isles of Scilly just off the Cornish coast. While there, the residents welcomed Bowles with a beautiful birthday cake. She sliced the cake and shared it with some royal fans.

Bowles wore a green floral dress during her recent sighting, and it featured beautiful details around the bodice, as well as pleats. Prince Charles’ wife also brought along her camel Burberry trench coat in case it rained.

Last year, the mom of two celebrated her 70th birthday bash with a garden party at Clarence House where she invited a slew of A-listers. This year, it is Bowles’ husband that will celebrate his 70th birthday. Details about his upcoming special day are still being kept under wraps.

In related news, Prince Charles and Bowles have been married for 13 years, but they have been a couple since they were very young. The couple was introduced to each other by their mutual friend in 1971 at a party. During their conversation, they learned that they have a shared passion for polo and other outdoor activities.

Bowles also made a joke about her great-grandmother, Alice Keppel, having an affair with King Edward VIII.

“My great-grandmother was the mistress of your great-great-grandfather. I feel we have something in common,” she joked.

Bowles and Prince Charles dated each other shortly after their first meeting, but they called it quits when the prince joined the Royal Navy. In 1973, Prince Charles learned that Bowles tied the knot with Andrew Bowles. And in 1980, Prince Charles began a relationship with Princess Diana.

After only 12 dates, the two tied the knot in 1981, and they were blessed with two sons years later. While Prince Charles was still married to Princess Diana, he had an affair with Bowles, and it made headlines in 1986. Three years later, Princess Diana confronted her husband about the affair, and they separated in 1992.
