Taco Bell is at it again. The fast-food chain is offering free tacos for the 2020 World Series as part of its “Steal A Base, Steal A Taco” promotion.

This year, the giveaway will allow baseball and taco fans to get their free Doritos Locos Taco within hours of the first base being stolen during the World Series, using a code in the Taco Bell app. Each code will have its own “unique” redemption period, Taco Bell said.

For customers that want to enjoy their tacos by dining at a Taco Bell restaurant, the company is running the free taco deal on Oct. 28 if a base is stolen.

Taco Bell also said the change in the “Steal A Base, Steal A Taco” promotion will allow customers to get their “free tacos faster.” Customers will receive one free beef Doritos Locos taco.

“Through a season and a year like no other, we are proud to bring back a promotion that fans can always count on and are thrilled to partner with the league again to provide free tacos for all of America – no matter what team you root for,” Nikki Lawson, Taco Bell's chief global brand officer, said in a statement.

“We're looking forward to seeing who will be America's newest Taco Hero and are excited to give our Taco Bell Loyalty Rewards members early access to their free Doritos Locos Taco via Taco Bell Loyalty Rewards (Beta),” she said.

Adding to the excitement of the World Series, Taco Bell is also offering fans the chance to wager money on which player they think will steal the first base as well as what inning the first base will be stolen during.

To make a wager, customers need to be 21 years old and a resident of Colorado, Indiana, New Jersey, or West Virginia. The betting is being done in partnership with BetMGM for the second year in a row.

Taco Bell customers that are not baseball fans can still get their hands on a free Doritos Locos Taco by signing up for the Rewards (Beta) loyalty program via the company’s app.

“Steal a Base, Steal a Taco has become a tradition tied to the World Series and we're thrilled to partner with Taco Bell to bring baseball fans even more to look forward to through this extraordinary postseason,” Noah Garden, MLB chief revenue officer, said in a statement.

The 2020 World Series begins on Oct. 20 and will air on Fox.
