Every mother has to deal with stress, and Joanna Gaines is no different. With a lifestyle empire and five kids, the mom sometimes gets overwhelmed and insiders say taking alone time helps her avoid a meltdown.

“When the baby’s fussing and the kids make messes, sometimes she has to go to her quiet room and decompress,” a source told Radar Online.

It’s easy to see why the “Fixer Upper” star would get stressed out. In the last year, she released a cookbook, gave birth and signed a new TV deal. Never mind that she is still keeping Magnolia’s realty, home lines, magazine and other businesses open.

“Now with the new TV deal, things are bound to get even more hectic. She’s just letting everyone know that she’s going to need some mommy time once in a while because she’s not Wonder Woman!” the anonymous insider added.

Gaines recently opened up to Jenna Bush Hager in a Southern Living interview about feeling mom guilt. “I’ve been through plenty of stages of guilt. It always creeps in. It paralyzes me. I don’t want to waste a second of emotion on something that doesn’t create any good. I think, ‘What can I do to show my kids that I love them?’ Even if it’s making a cup of hot cocoa, which takes a few minutes. It’s about finding little ways to connect.”

On Thursday, Gaines announced yet another new business endeavor: a new home décor line at Anthropologie. That’s in addition to her lines for Target, Pier1 and Bed Bath & Beyond. It looks like as long as she gets a little time to decompress, the interior designer can handle anything.
