Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be celebrating their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple on Thursday, but their first when they were just dating came in 2017.

How did the “Suits” alum and the royal celebrate the annual holiday that’s all about love? In the most private place they could.

“Harry and Meghan are together at Kensington Palace,” a source told Us Weekly. “[S]he and Harry are staying in for Valentine’s.”

At the time, Markle had already been staying at Prince Harry’s home, Nottingham Cottage, at the palace often, so she felt comfortable there.

“It's become Meghan’s home away from home,” a source said to the outlet. “All the security know her, she slips in and out whenever she likes.”

Even before Valentine’s Day 2017, the couple had been spending a lot of time just “chilling and enjoying lazy days together,” a source said.

Now, two years later, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are married and expecting their first child together. Their home is also about to change from Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage. So, “staying in” for holidays will be done at a different location in the future.

We’ll just have to wait to see what Prince Harry and his pregnant wife have in store for their Valentine’s Day this year.
