George Clooney’s currently doing press for his upcoming dark comedy for Hulu, “Catch-22,” but that didn’t stop him from clearing some things up about his friendship with Meghan Markle and his future relationship with her and Prince Harry’s baby.

While speaking with Who, the actor was asked if he is going to be the godfather of the Duchess of Sussex’s baby.

"Oh yes, I’ll be the godfather of the royals apparently," he said, before giving his real answer, which was “no,” he will not be the baby’s godfather.

Clooney had a good reason for why he wouldn’t be taking on the special role. ”I’m the father of twins, I have enough [expletive] to deal with – literally!”

The actor has been married to Amal Clooney since 2014, and the two welcomed twins —daughter, Ella, and son, Alexander — in 2017. These are both of their first kids.

Markle and Prince Harry are currently dealing with the same thing, as they got married in 2018 and are now expecting their first child. With George out of the running for godfather duty, it remains to be seen who ends up taking on the royal gig.
