Melania Trump has a keen interest in the health and wellbeing of children, and this interest has only increased during the challenging times of the coronavirus. Stephani Grisham, who is the Chief of Staff to the First Lady, recently shared an update about all the things the First Lady has done in order to help and support children across the country.

The White House shared a video of an interview Grisham gave to Fox News recently about the measures Melania has taken during this pandemic. So far, the First Lady has visited 20 classrooms, met 4,000 students, and toured about 20 hospitals.

Grisham revealed that Melania has been doing a lot of virtual calls and she has also been providing resources and tools to parents while engaging with people on social media. The First Lady also held a Zoom call with teachers recently to thank them for their hard work.

The response to the pandemic has been a collective, global effort, and Melania has been in touch with her counterparts around the world to evolve the strategy in the ongoing battle to contain the spread of the virus. Grisham pointed out that it has been very challenging because a lot of the work has to be done virtually, but she added that the First Lady is leading by example with her efforts.

In another clip that The White House shared online, Grisham pointed out that Melania’s Be Best program recently completed two years successfully. The initiative was about healthy living and it encouraged children to spend time outdoors.

Melania collaborated with National Park Services and visited some of the National Parks to highlight their importance. She has also met with hundreds of children at the White House, and Grisham said that the First Lady has touched the lives of thousands of children across the country.

Earlier this year, Melania hosted several children from the West Gate Elementary school at The White House as a part of the Be Best initiative, and she shared pictures of the meeting on Twitter. “Inspired by how these children are growing into the best versions of themselves,” the First Lady wrote in the post.
