In October, Christie Brinkley's ex-husband, Peter Cook, announced his engagement to Alba Jancou. After proposing to Jancou in Santorini, Greece, he took to social media to share the news with his followers. Initial reports claimed that his bride-to-be was 21, but Page Six now reports that he allegedly "lied" to everyone about his fiancée's age.

According to the outlet's findings, an insider has revealed that Jancou is 20 years old will not turn 21 until March of next year.

"A few weeks ago, Cook swore to Page Six through his rep that his bride-to-be was 21, despite our doubts," stated the outlet, adding, "He even went so far as to claim a social media post of her 18th birthday celebrations at her elite British high school, posted on Twitter in 2017, carried the wrong date. The post has since been deleted."

The outlet's source went on to speculate that Cook, 60, may have fabricated her age due to the fact that she is four months younger than Sailor Brinkley-Cook, the daughter he shares with Christie Brinkley.

Prior to his new engagement, Cook and Brinkley were married from 1996 to 2008. At that time, the model accused him of having an affair with an 18-year-old.

Neither Cook nor Jancou has publicly responded to the new report.
