Prince George may have been the first royal to unintentionally reveal the name of his cousin Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

In January, a dog walker spotted Prince George and Princess Charlotte with their nanny near their grandparents’ home in Berkshire. The dog walker was asked to not take photos of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children during their outing.

But when Prince George approached the dog walker and stroke her dog, she had the opportunity to talk to him. The dog walker asked Prince George what his name was even though she was aware of who the youngster really is. To her surprise, the third in line to the throne said that his name is Archie.

“To my astonishment, he said, ‘I’m called Archie,’ with a big smile on his face. I don’t know why he calls himself Archie but kids often play with their names and I think it’s lovely,” she told The Sun.

According to E! News, royal fans are now convinced that Prince George heard Prince Harry and Meghan Markle talking about possible names if they were to have a son.

On Wednesday, Markle and Prince Harry proudly showed off their son to the world while at Windsor Castle. The couple also announced their son’s full name to the public. As of late, it is still unclear where the royal couple got the name Archie from.

However, the young boy’s second name, Harrison, is a tribute to his dad Prince Harry. Harrison means “son of Harry.”

When asked how the birth of her son was like, Markle said that it was pretty amazing and that is was magic. The Duchess of Sussex also gushed over having two of the best guys in the world and said that she’s really happy.

The Duke of Sussex added, “We’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy and be able to spend some precious times with him as he slowly, slowly starts to grow up.”
