Prince Harry is the joker of the royal family, and he has poked fun at Queen Elizabeth II on multiple occasions. But it cannot also be denied that the Duke of Sussex is quite protective of his grandmother.

In the book “Prince Harry: The Inside Story,” royal author Duncan Larcombe detailed the conversation he had with Meghan Markle’s husband. He said that Prince Harry previously expressed his concern over Her Majesty while Peter and Autumn Phillips’ nuptials.

At that time, Prince Harry couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the dance floor adorned with mirrored floors. This means that the mirrors could reflect whatever is underneath the skirt of the women who are dancing at the wedding reception.

The Duke of Sussex was worried that the public would see what’s underneath his grandmother’s attire during his cousin’s wedding. And even though Prince Harry shared his concerns in a joking manner, it still cannot be denied that he’s quite protective of the monarch. In fact, he’s even more protective of his grandmother than his ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy.

“Standing at the bar, Harry recalled how one thing about the wedding reception had really stuck in his mind. He said: ‘Someone had the bright idea to have a mirrored dance floor at the reception, can you imagine how crazy that was?’” Larcombe said.

“I laughed and asked Harry: ‘Oh dear, I bet you were worried about Chelsy dancing and everyone being able to see up her skirt?’ He quickly replied: ‘Never mind Chelsy, it was my grandmother I was worried about,’” he added.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry has always been close to his grandmother. But despite their strong bond, the Queen almost caused problems in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s marriage.

According to Cheat Sheet, it was the Queen who advised Prince Harry and Markle to move to Frogmore Cottage. This means that the royal couple’s quest for privacy was actually supported by the monarch. However, Prince Harry and Markle are being criticized for their desire to live as private citizens.
