General Motors (GM) will reveal its all-electric Silverado pickup truck in a livestream event on Wednesday, which will be linked to the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show.

The event will be streamed from Chevy’s website at 12 p.m. ET, where reservations for the truck will open up at 1 p.m. ET.

GM has been tight-lipped about the Silverado EV, with limited details available. What is known is the electric truck is powered by GM’s Ultium EV platform and will have 400 miles of range.

On the launch website, more details have emerged, including that the pickup will have four-wheel drive and a glass roof.

GM Chief Executive Mary Barra will unveil the Silverado EV, which will hit dealerships in early 2023, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The launch from GM comes a day after Ford announced that it was doubling the capacity of its all-electric F-150 Lightning pickup truck to 150,000 units a year as demand increased.

Ford has stopped taking reservations for the truck, capping it at 200,000 as it was more than the automaker anticipated for the initial launch of the EV.

As of Wednesday at 11:03 a.m. ET, shares of GM were trading at $66.09, up 35 cents, or 0.53%.
