Jazz Jennings’ older brother Sander Jennings will ask his crush out on a date in “I Am Jazz.”

“I Am Jazz” Season 7 is back this Tuesday with an all-new episode. Ahead of the show’s third episode, an exclusive sneak peek shared via People showed that Sander, 23, will finally have the courage to ask his friend Hope, a trans woman, out on a date.

“Hope is just a good vibe and she’s glowing through the camera,” the reality star said in a confessional while talking about his friend whom he met online.

After discussing their different ideas on how to socialize in the teaser clip, Sander got the courage to express his desire to spend some time with Hope in person.

“I definitely think it’s about damn time that we actually hang out and do something fun,” he told his friend during their video call.

“Let’s do it. I’m definitely in for that,” Hope responded.

At the end of the clip, Sander admitted in a confessional that he’s excited for their date. He then shared that it would be the first time for him to date a trans woman.

“I’ve never dated a trans woman, but I know that I’m only attracted to women, and trans women are women. And Hope just has this radiant personality and I want to get to know her more,” he said.

Following the release of the snippet, the trans activist’s brother took to Instagram to open up about his decision to go on a date with a trans woman, saying that he is just being his “most authentic self.”

“Even though I identify as cisgender and heterosexual, I share my experiences on my social media and now on national TV because I want to encourage all people who can identify with my experiences to recognize the importance of Allyship,” he wrote alongside a clip from their reality show.

In the same post, Sander confessed that he used to be not that confident in himself as an active supporter of the LGBTQ+ community because many people would ask about his sexual preference. But he eventually realized that he should be proud of being an ally.

“I know my attraction and people questioning that shouldn’t make me question myself,” he added.

“I Am Jazz” Season 7 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.
