‘Imposters’ Season 1, Episode 9 Sneak Peek: Will Ezra Bloom Join The FBI? [SPOILERS]

Ezra Bloom (Rob Heaps) is left with no other choice but to join the FBI in tonight’s Season 1, episode 9 of “Imposters.”

In a sneak peek from the hour, titled “Ladies and Gentlemen, the Doctor Is In,” Patrick (Stephen Bishop) is able to convince Ezra to help the FBI take down the Doctor (Ray Proscia).

In the interrogation room, Patrick shows Ezra photos of dead bodies of people who used to work for the Doctor. “These people used to work for the doctor as well. [And] it seems they got a pretty strict policy when it comes to loyalty,” Patrick says.

When Ezra says he doesn’t believe Patrick, the FBI agent quickly replies: “I don’t care what you believe. He’s running cons all across the country pulling in millions of dollars a year and leaving a trail of bodies when he suits him. Maybe you’re next, I don’t know. Maybe you’ve ruined your own life so much that you just don’t have anything left to lose, whatever. But know this: this is gonna happen to Maddie (Inbar Lavi) and you have the power to stop it. So if you want to make sure she doesn’t end up in a ditch. I’m gonna need you to help me.”

Although Ezra has repeatedly said that he no longer has feelings for Maddie, it’s pretty obvious that he still cares for her. As such, after a long pause of careful thinking, Ezra asks: “What would I need to do?”

“First thing, you need to find her phone. I’m gonna teach you how to turn it into a microphone,” says Patrick before officially welcoming Ezra to the FBI.

While it appears that the FBI now has the upper hand, it’s possible that Ezra getting arrested by the FBI could also be part of the bumblers’ plan all along.

Also in tonight’s episode, according to the installment’s synopsis, Maddie struggles to keep her plan on track as her wedding to Patrick approaches. Meanwhile, Jules (Marianne Rendon) has a surprise encounter with someone.
