Rachel Skarsten has joined the cast of “Imposters.”

According to Deadline, Skarsten will play the recurring role of Poppy Langmore, a private school educated elitist and sister to Jules (Marianne Rendón). It’s unclear how Poppy will weave into Season 2’s story, but since the Bravo series has yet to reveal Jules’ biggest secret, it’s likely that Skarsten’s character will be crucial in the show’s plan to dig deeper into Jules’ backstory.

“There’s a couple things we want to get into later,” series co-creator told TVLine last April when asked what fans can expect from Season 2. “For instance, we never find out what Jules’ secret is in the first season. Those things are intentional that we, as writers, are looking forward to getting into.”

Skarsten played Queen Elizabeth I in the recently concluded CW series “Reign.” The 32-year-old actress is also known for her roles as Dinah Lance on WB’s “Birds of Prey” and Tamsin in the Canadian series “Lost Girl.” In addition to her upcoming stint on “Imposters,” Skarsten will be next seen in the crime drama film “Molly’s Game,” which is set to open in theaters on Dec. 25.

Aside from Rendón, other original cast members who are confirmed to return next season are Inbar Lavi who plays Maddie, Rob Heaps as Ezra Bloom, Parker Young as Richard, Stephen Bishop as Patrick, and Brian Benben as Max. It was also announced last week that Uma Thurman is reprising her role as Lenny Cohen in the upcoming season.

Plot details about the Season 2 have been scarce, but Brooks previously said that fans can expect some self-reinvention for every character on the show in the new season.

“What’s really interesting to us is that all our major characters no longer can be defined by what defined them at the beginning of Season 1,” Brooks told TVLine when asked what’s in store for the characters in Season 2. “Ezra, Jules and Richard were defined, first of all, by finding the love of their lives, losing that person and then realizing that they could go and try to find her. That quest is now done. Who are they now?”

“Max has been defined by devotion and working for the Doctor (Ray Proscia). Now he’s unmoored from that. He tried to pull of this tricky thing, [and] he failed. Does he go to the Doctor?” Brooks continued. “Patrick totally messed up. What’s going to happen to him when he’s no longer the hotshot FBI agent? Is Maddie under his skin? Does he hate-love her? And Maddie keeps saying she wants some kind of normalcy. What’s she going to do now? How does she define herself away from the whole thing? … Our story is about identity — how do you reinvent yourself? Who are you? – and peril. Those are the elements that will lead us into Season 2 now.”

“Imposters” Season 2 is expected to premiere in 2018.
