Michael Jackson’s former residence in Las Vegas has hit the market for $9.5 million.

The late pop superstar rented 2785 S. Monte Cristo Way for $50,000 a month for about a year starting in 2006, according to The Wall Street Journal. The singer reportedly moved into the home when he returned to the country after spending time in the Middle East and Ireland.

Listing agent Zar Zanganeh of The Agency told the New York Post that the privacy and proximity to everything Las Vegas has to offer was the reason why Jackson picked the mansion.

The 17,000-square-foot mansion sits on a 1-acre corner lot in the exclusive Lakes neighborhood, about 7 miles from the Las Vegas Strip.

While the home is not located in a guard-gated community, security is not an issue as it is surrounded by walls that are 10 feet high.

The two-story home has eight bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms. Additional highlights include an office wing with two executive offices, a meeting room with a separate access gate and a safe room.

Amenities in the mansion include a theater and a ballroom with an orchestra loft overlooking it. Outside, there’s a rooftop deck, pool, spa, kitchen and tennis court.

The mansion is less than 2 miles away from a Walmart, Petco and Nothing Bundt Cakes, among other stores.

The current owners of the property, Dong Xue and his wife Jeanette Zhou, who are both fans of Jackson, bought the home in 2010 for $3.1 million, according to Wall Street Journal. The couple is reportedly moving to California.

According to Zanganeh, the sellers plan to leave most of the furniture in the mansion to the next buyer. Jackson and his children reportedly used most of the furniture, including the dining table and sofa.

Zanganeh said he hopes a celebrity of the caliber of Jackson, such as Lady Gaga, or someone who is a fan of the late singer will buy the property.
