Apple launched the iOS 10.3.1 Monday. The update is an incremental one to resolve bug issues with the iOS 10.3 update.

It brings new features such as Apple Clips — the company’s Snapchat style video app and a major security patch, which fixes vulnerability that allowed an attacker to attack a device’s Wi-Fi chip by executing arbitrary code. The update can be downloaded directly to your iOS device, if you are connected to a Wi-Fi network, you can simply check for it by navigating to Settings>General>Software Update and you should get an option to download and install the update, if your device is eligible.

Before installing the update, here’s what you need to know about it:

Bug and security fix: The new update not just patches a vulnerability, which made iPhone 5, iPad 4th generation and iPod Touch 6th generation devices and their successors, it also fixes issues with some iOS devices, which blocked 32-bit devices from downloading iOS 10.3 update.

Ability To downgrade: iOS 10.3.1 will not make you stuck with the iOS software. In case you find its performance unsatisfactory on your iOS device, you will be able to downgrade to iOS 10.2.1 update, but only for a limited time till Apple lets the older update remain available.

Less potential of jailbreaking: There is currently no way to jailbreak an iOS 10.3.1 device. So if you have plans of jailbreaking your iOS device, do not install the software update.
