KEY POINTS

  • Ivanka Trump was spotted on an outing with friends and her husband Jared Kushner in Miami over the weekend
  • The couple was also recently photographed enjoying a boat trip with their children
  • Kushner is currently recovering from his recent second surgery for thyroid cancer

Ivanka Trump is fully embracing the last few days of summer.

The 40-year-old daughter of former president Donald Trump was spotted rocking a strapless red bikini top and white and navy blue striped shorts while spending the weekend with her friends and her husband Jared Kushner in Miami, Florida, Fox News reported.

On Sunday, Ivanka gave her followers a glimpse of how she and her pals enjoyed the weekend by sharing via Instagram two photos and a video of herself wakesurfing off a boat. She captioned them with surfing, wave, rainbow and laughing emojis.

But though Ivanka appeared to have enjoyed herself, some social media users wondered whether the images and clip were edited as they claimed they didn't look real.

"The first shot looks like photo art," one user wrote.

Another commented, "I am sorry to say, but this is so fake."

But Ivanka debunked the Photoshop claims in the comments section after one user asked if she actually went wakesurfing.

"Yes! It looks like a green screen, but it's actually just Miami on a beautiful day," she explained.

The former first daughter and Kushner, 41, have been spotted going on outings together or with their three children, 11-year-old Arabella, 8-year-old Joseph and 6-year-old Theodore, in Florida numerous times since the family moved there from Washington, D.C., in January 2021.

Earlier this month, Kusher was spotted with a bandage on his neck while the couple took their children on a boat trip in Miami, Fox News reported.

In photos obtained by the outlet, the businessman, who married Ivanka over 13 years ago in New Jersey, was seen wearing a pair of yellow shorts, a sky blue shirt, a cap, and sunglasses. Another picture also showed Kushner commandeering a boat with their children.

The outing reportedly came just days after Kushner underwent a second operation for thyroid cancer in late August.

Kushner and Ivanka were spotted in Rochester, Minnesota, on Aug. 9. A person close to Kushner who spoke to Reuters on condition of anonymity said that the businessman was there to visit the Mayo Clinic for a checkup, where the need for the surgery was determined.

Kushner is expected to make a full recovery, the source said.

Kushner revealed in his recently released book, "Breaking History: A White House Memoir," that he underwent a similar operation for thyroid cancer in 2019 while serving as senior White House adviser.

Meanwhile, Ivanka made the headlines recently after Chelsea Clinton revealed in a new interview alongside mom Hillary Clinton on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" that she has not spoken to her former friend since Ivanka went to the "dark side" in 2016.

"I would say we were friends," Chelsea said, according to Fox News, "She's not the person I called when I was curious about something for my kids or if I was debating a life decision, but we were definitely friends. And then she went to the dark side."

Chelsea previously told Today in 2016 that she and Ivanka had "very different views" about who should be president but remained friends. That year, Ivanka and Chelsea were part of their parents' presidential campaigns.

Last year, host Andy Cohen also asked the 42-year-old global health advocate about her friendship with Ivanka on his show.

At the time, Chelsea said that she has "no interest in being friends with someone who is not only complicit but actively taking part in this administration's everyday collision of cruelty and incompetence."
