Fans are going to see more of Blaine’s (David Anders) dad, Angus (Robert Knepper), in Season 4 of “iZombie.”

In a video message shown during the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel on Friday, Knepper announced that he has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming season of the CW series.

“Hello, everybody! It’s Robert Knepper and I can’t tell you how excited I am to report that CW, [executive producer] Rob Thomas and Warner Bros. had the great foresight to make me a series regular for this next season of ‘iZombie,’” Knepper said in the video. “I’m so excited to be back to work with such great writers, actors, directors.”

At the end of his video message, Knepper went in character and said, “All I have to say is, Blaine all is forgiven.”

As fans know, Blaine struck back against his father in a rather impressive way in Season 3, episode 8. In the episode, Blaine trapped Angus in a well and started taking over his brain business.

“Angus is going to get out of the well,” Thomas revealed at the show’s panel. “He’s going to be up to no good and he’s going to have some very hardcore violent pro-zombie people on his side.”

Major plot details about the upcoming season are being kept under wraps, but Thomas told TVLine earlier this month that the next installment will start with a “story about corruption.” Although Thomas didn’t offer additional details about the “corruption story,” he did reveal that “there are barely enough brains coming in to feed Seattle zombies” so members of the undead are “going hungry.”

It seems, however, that wealthy zombies won’t run out of brains because as Thomas pointed out, “there’s a black market for brains.” The executive producer previously revealed during a separate interview with TVLine last month that Blaine is going to run the black market. In fact, Blaine is going to open a new restaurant called Romeros.

“I will say that Blaine is like a pig in slop this [upcoming] season,” Thomas told TV Guide. “New Seattle is the perfect city for him. When there’s a thriving black market, odds are, Blaine is doing well. And the black market is alive and well in Seattle. Whole brains are worth their weight in gold, and Blaine has a pipeline to them and a handshake deal with Chase Graves (Jason Dohring) to leave him alone. He’s raking it in.”

“iZombie” Season 4 will premiere midseason on The CW.
