  • Tyron Woodley is set to face Jake Paul in a boxing match
  • Paul is looking to add Woodley to his list of victims
  • Woodley questions Paul's punching power

Internet sensation Jake Paul has a new opponent, and it appears it will be another mixed martial arts athlete in Tyron Woodley.

In the 24-year-old’s last fight against Woodley's teammate Ben Askren last April, it will be recalled that both had an altercation.

Mike Coppinger of The Athletic reported that Paul and Woodley will have a boxing match, but no actual date and place have been mentioned.

However, all that should get some clarity with the two personalities allegedly set to have a face-off in Miami on Friday.

This comes not long after Paul signed a multi-fight deal with Showtime.

As far as Woodley, the 39-year-old is no longer under contract with the UFC. He fought in March but lost to Vicente Luque.

“The Chosen One” is on a four-fight losing streak, having bowed to other fighters such as Colby Covington, Gilbert Burns and Kamaru Usman.

His last win was against Daren Till at UFC 228 in September 2018.

There was no mention of the level of boxing knowledge that Woodley had, yet raising concerns on how his match with Paul will go.

The YouTuber has been criticized for taking on people who have little to no boxing experience, and the same could hold for “The Chosen One.”

But one thing is clear, Woodley does not think highly of Paul. He is aching to get a piece of the YouTuber, TMZ Sports reported.

Regardless, Woodley questions the punching power of Paul. He is confident of doing better.

"Come and get this smoke for real," Woodley said. "I'm in, and I can actually find him. People that keep talking about fighting him, they're not even in position to fight him. I can actually fight him. I can fight him tomorrow if I want to."

With this development, it appears a rumored suggestion of Paul possibly facing Floyd Mayweather Jr. will have to wait.

For now, the undefeated American boxer will focus on his older brother–Logan Paul.
