KEY POINTS

  • Jamie Foxx arrived late to Cardi B's party with about 5-10 people in his entourage
  • The door guy denied Foxx entry but later ran after him to tell him he was good to enter
  • The "Day Shift" actor turned down the man's offer and said, "We not good"

Jamie Foxx quickly moved on after being rejected to Cardi B's birthday bash.

Foxx, 54, arrived with several men with him at Cardi B's birthday party. However, he was seen walking back into his car just a couple of minutes after he and his entourage appeared at the front door of the venue.

The man assigned to examine the guests at the entry door reportedly rejected the "Day Shift" star. He played it cool while walking back to his vehicle, but just a couple of minutes later, the door guy seemed to have realized that he was screwed up, TMZ reported.

In the video obtained by the outlet, the door guy could be heard calling Foxx and telling him that he was good and that he could enter the premises. However, the "Project Power" actor had already decided to leave.

"No, we not good. Nah ni**a, it's all good! I love you, but it was too much," Foxx told the door guy.

A photo agency claimed Foxx was initially turned down because he had too many guests. Meanwhile, anonymous sources told TMZ that Foxx showed up to the birthday party late, and the people there were not aware he was coming. He reportedly arrived with ten people, and there was no section available for him.

Party sources added that the "Annie" star decided to leave because he realized that was not enough area for him. Sources also clarified that there were no hard feelings among the individuals involved, and Foxx handled the situation well.

The incident received mixed reactions from netizens on Twitter. Many were dismayed that he wasn't initially allowed entry. Others couldn't believe that Foxx would be rejected.

"I never imagined a world where Jamie Foxx wasn't good somewhere," a fan commented. Another added, "Still... he Jamie Foxx. Come on now. I love Cardi. She needs to fix this. So wrong."

"Jamie Foxx would've made that party historic. He is always a good time," a third person added.

Meanwhile, some blamed Foxx for being late and bringing along many men in his entourage.

"If I don't know that you're coming to my party and you show up with such an obnoxious entourage of [ten] people, I don't care who you are quite frankly. We're at capacity, and I am not asking my other guests who arrived earlier to clear out because of you," one stated.

"Ain't about being good. He showed up late with [ten] people to a party he wasn't even invited to," another wrote. "Be punctual is the lesson learned here."

"Don't be late. Something you learn very early in life. Also, it's courtesy to RSVP," a third person wrote.

Meanwhile, the outlet noted that the celebrant, Cardi B, was probably unaware of the incident.
