Jana Kramer has shared some of her parenting dos and don'ts as she and her ex-husband Mike Caussin co-parent their two children.

After finalizing their divorce in July following six years of marriage, Kramer, 37, and Caussin, 34, share joint custody of their two young kids: daughter Jolie, 5, and son Jace, 2.

According to the "One Tree Hill" alum, they make sure not to argue in front of their children, especially after they called it quits.

"It's not good," Kramer told Us Weekly of her kids hearing her disagree with their father. "It’s not healthy. And that’s one thing that we have done a great job on."

The country singer also shared that she never says "yes" to her children after Caussin has already said "no," explaining that "it's important to be on the same page."

Kramer tied the knot with the former professional football player in May 2015. They split a year later after it was revealed that Caussin was involved in multiple affairs, and he underwent treatment for sex addiction. They renewed their vows in 2017, but they split for good in April, just shy of their sixth wedding anniversary.

The actress said she doesn't plan to "shield" her son and daughter from reading about their father's ups and downs and the former couple's tumultuous relationship.

"They're going to get old enough to Google," Kramer explained. "They're so smart. [I'll] let them ask questions and be open to explaining [our] past."

Aside from their approach to disagreements, the exes are also on the same page when it comes to introducing new partners to their children. According to Kramer, they will wait until they are in serious relationships because both of them don't want to introduce their children to random people they're dating.

"I won’t want to meet someone’s kids or introduce my kids to anyone until we’re in a serious relationship," she previously told Us Weekly while promoting her "Voices" single earlier this month. "I think it’s important to really, like, be solid in the relationship. Mike and I are really good with that. We’ve been [keeping an] eye on that. It needs to be, like, something serious."

After calling it quits with Caussin, Kramer was linked to another former football star, Jay Cutler.

However, Cutler, who split with wife Kristin Cavallari last year, reportedly broke up with Kramer earlier this month, with reports claiming he ended their brief romance after failing to make the "Very Cavallari" star jealous.

"The real reason [they broke up] is because he didn’t succeed at making Kristin jealous," an unnamed source told Us Weekly. "He took Jana to the most public places for their dates, knowing they would be photographed together and would get attention from being out in Nashville, but it never worked."
