Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer got candid about their mutual feelings for each other when they were filming "Friends."

Aniston and Schwimmer got the viewers fascinated with their relationship as Rachel and Ross on "Friends." What most don't know is that their chemistry went beyond the set and they nearly dated off-screen.

The pair recalled their flirtatious interactions on "Friends: The Reunion," which dropped on HBO Max Thursday. James Corden asked the cast if they had real-life romance and the 52-year-old actress was quoted by Us Weekly as saying, "David?"

Schwimmer, 54, admitted that he had feelings for the "Morning Show" star. Aniston confessed that it was mutual.

"The first season, I had a major crush on Jen," Schwimmer said.

"It was reciprocated," she added.

However, even if they felt the same for each other, their relationship never went beyond friendship.

"I think at some point we were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship, and we never crossed that boundary," Schwimmer explained. "We respected that."

"Bulls–t," their co-star Matt LeBlanc commented before adding, "I'm kidding!"

Aniston shared that they tried to bring their friendship to the next level before their characters got together on the show in Season 2.

"I remember saying one time to David, ‘It’s gonna be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television,’" Aniston shared.

"Sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop. We just channeled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel."

The castmates were also very close off-camera. Schwimmer recalled their first or two years filming and how "we had breaks from rehearsal, there were moments we would cuddle on the couch."

"We would spoon and fall asleep," Aniston added.

Schwimmer then went on and asked the other cast members if his and Aniston's chemistry was apparent and how did they know about it.

LeBlanc, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Matthew Perry all said they "knew for sure."

Schwimmer was married to British artist Zoe Buckman. Meanwhile, Aniston was divorced twice from ex-husbands Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux.

"David's always held a candle for Jen and has never stopped loving her," an unnamed source previously said. "But it was a case of never being the right time as one of them was always in a relationship after their fling all those years ago."
