Is Jennifer Aniston becoming a mom for the first time? The "Friends" star's rep has addressed the rumors claiming she plans to adopt a child.

Rumors recently surfaced claiming that Aniston, 52, told her "Friends" co-stars when they reunited for the filming of their HBO Max special this week that she is adopting a baby. However, the "Murder Mystery" star's rep has confirmed that there is no truth to these speculations.

"The story is a fabrication and false," her rep told E! News.

This is not the first time Aniston has been rumored to be adopting a child. Tabloids also claimed last year that Aniston visited the Casa Hogar Sion orphanage in Mexico which she allegedly has been supporting for years and that she has been considering adopting a child there.

Instead, the "Morning Show" star introduced a new member of her family, Chesterfield, her youngest dog, in October 2020.

When Aniston and ex-husband Brad Pitt separated in 2005, there were rumors that he left her because she didn't want to have a child. However, the "Horrible Bosses" star denied it and didn't hide her disappointment over the speculations that she prioritized her career over having children.

"That really pissed me off. I’ve never in my life said I didn’t want to have children. I did and I do and I will!" Aniston told Vanity Fair in 2006, a year after they divorced. "The women that inspire me are the ones who have careers and children; why would I want to limit myself? I’ve always wanted to have children, and I would never give up that experience for a career. I want to have it all."

In an interview for Interview Magazine in February 2020 with her friend, Sandra Bullock, Aniston once again hinted at her desire to raise kids when asked what else she is looking forward to in her life at 51.

"It’s not so much what I see myself doing, but it’s more like a little screenshot in my brain, where I hear the ocean, I see the ocean, I hear laughter, I see kids running, I hear ice in a glass, I smell food being cooked. That’s the joyous snapshot in my head," Aniston said.

Despite this, Aniston has also made it clear that not having children doesn't make her feel unhappy or dissatisfied.

"What brings me happiness? I have a great job. I have a great family. I have great friends. I have no reason to feel otherwise," the actress said in an interview with Elle in 2018.
