Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are happy with their marriage.

There were rumors that the "Cake" actress and "The Leftovers" actors' marriage was in the rocks after they were spotted shopping in Los Angeles separately. Theroux was seen with a lady friend while Aniston was with her bodyguard.

An insider told Us Weekly that Aniston and Theroux's marriage is going strong. In fact, they are not getting a divorce and they do not have marital problems. They just don't spend more time together because they are working on different projects and Aniston prefers to stay in Los Angeles than in New York.

"She prefers L.A. He has a fondness for New York, but they knew that about each other from the beginning and decided it wasn't an issue. It doesn't mean they're splitting up," the source said.

The insider added that the "Horrible Bosses" star "would fly to New York" from Atlanta to be with her husband while she was filming her Netflix series "Maniac." The couple also "spent time together in Austin."

Also, Aniston and Theroux reunited to spend Christmas together at their Bel Air Home. The pair is planning to celebrate New Year with their friends in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The insider explained that Aniston and Theroux are both grown up and independent. They do not have to "spend every minute together."

Whenever the "We're the Millers" actress and the "John Adams" actor reunite they are filled with love and laughter. Also, they are not bothered by the rumors because "they don't let all speculation get to them."

In August, Aniston and Theroux celebrated their second wedding anniversary. The "Six Feet Under" star shared a photo of them together with the "The Break-Up" actress kissing him on the cheek. Theroux did not caption the photo but only added a heart and peace-sign emojis.

A few weeks before their anniversary, the couple was spotted enjoying a dinner date in a high-end restaurant where Theroux proposed. According to an eyewitness, Theroux and Aniston "looked like a long-term couple in love having a romantic dinner."

Theroux is open to working with his wife. In fact, he wants to write a TV role for Aniston. But he is aware that it will be difficult.

"If the right thing came around I would definitely [write] it," Theroux told Entertainment Tonight. "We toss around ideas occasionally, but it's got to be something I want to write and something she wants to act in, which is harder than you might think. But yeah, it would be fantastic if we were able to do something together."
