  • They were joined by a friend and the latter’s child during the sunny outing
  • The actress’ sighting comes a day after she backed out of a trip with first lady Jill Biden

Jennifer Garner was spotted enjoying some quality time with her son and her pet dogs a day after she bailed out on her supposed trip with first lady Jill Biden.

The Hollywood actress was photographed Saturday as she took her beloved dogs to a park with her 9-year-old son Samuel, a friend and the latter’s child. All four wore face masks for protection amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the photos obtained by Daily Mail, Garner is seen sporting a black long-sleeve shirt, black leggings and a pair of blue and gray trainers. She also had sunglasses on since it was a sunny afternoon.

At one point, Garner and her friend unleashed their pets for a game of catch, and the pooches playfully raced across the park to capture and retrieve the ball.

It was not clear why Garner’s two other children with ex Ben Affleck, 15-year-old Violet and 12-year-old Seraphina, were not around during the outing.

The “Alias” star’s sighting comes a day after she dropped out of her supposed trip to Alabama with President Joe Biden’s wife. The two were supposed to go there to promote the expansion of child tax credits that seeks to diminish childhood poverty.

Unfortunately, Garner skipped the Birmingham trip because the weather forecasts indicated the possibility of thunderstorms. The first lady pushed through with her plans despite the actress’ absence, New York Post reported.

“Due to severe weather forecasts, actor and philanthropist Jennifer Garner will not travel for the event,” the White House said in a statement.

Garner’s reps did not respond to requests for comment. But overnight forecasts did say that showers and thunderstorms were likely to happen after 1 a.m., with the storms expected to be severe.

Meanwhile, late last month, Garner opened up about the possibility of walking down the aisle again after her divorce from the “Justice League” actor. The “13 Going On 30” star said that she’s unlikely to marry again in the near future.

“This is not the time. I don’t need to complicate it; I’m good. I’m so far from [getting married again],” she said before admitting that she also does not see herself staying “single forever.”

However, Garner made it clear that at this point in her life, she’s content with just being by herself and having her kids around.

“I’ve learned that I'm pretty sturdy. I'm okay when I'm in the house by myself. I'm okay when it's just the kids and me. I'm okay when they fall apart. I mean I have my moments, but pretty much, I'm really okay,” she said.
