Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck often go to church with their kids even after their split, but the "Justice League" star seemed to have other plans this Sunday.

On Sunday, Garner and their children, Seraphina, 8, and Sam, 5, were spotted on their way to church in Pacific Palisades, California. Affleck and their eldest child Violet were noticeably absent, Daily Mail reported.

Garner, 45, was all smiles and looked adorable in a black and gray sweatshirt, dark skinny jeans with exposed zipper pockets and black flats. The "Alias" alum accessorized her getup with dark shades and black Chanel hobo bag. Seraphina, meanwhile, sported a white top and a polka dot skirt. She paired the outfit with riding boots. On the other hand, Sam wore a Texas A&M football shirt and jeans.

Earlier this month, Violet turned 12 and celebrated her birthday without Garner and Affleck. Violet opted to celebrate her special day at the Willy Wonka-esque restaurant Barton G. in Los Angeles. She dined there with a group of friends and was accompanied by a nanny. The group shared lobster pop tarts for their meal and enjoyed cotton-candy for their dessert.

Although Garner and Affleck were not present during Violet's birthday celebration, the amicable exes were spotted together earlier that day. The "Batman" star sported a gray coat with dark red pants, while the "13 Going 30" star donned a maroon sweater as they strolled around.

The "Daredevil" co-stars separated in 2015 a day before their 10th wedding anniversary. But even if they are already living separate lives, they make their children their priority and will often spend holidays together as a family.

For instance, Garner and Affleck reunited on Thanksgiving. Just days before the holiday, the celebrity mom-of-three confessed that her estranged husband and his mom would take the kids. On the other hand, she preferred to be left alone in the kitchen to prepare their meals.

"If they will play with the kids and just let me cook, it is heaven for me," Garner said. "I will make homemade bread, I'll make stuffing, I'll make a turkey, I'll make gravy, I'll make sweet potato pudding, I'll make pies. Just let me have that day in the kitchen."

Affleck is currently dating "Saturday Night Live" producer Lindsay Shookus. Meanwhile, Garner is not interested in dating again.
