Jennifer Lopez’s chef has revealed the real reason behind why she wouldn’t include salmon in her diet.

The multi-hyphenated Jennifer Lopez is famous for her ripped and toned physique. Following a strict and clean eating regime, Lopez makes sure that her diet is composed of balanced and nutrient-laden foods that even her personal chef, Kelvin Fernandez, can attest to.

But apparently, there are specific types of food that won’t ever seem to make the cut in Lopez’s food preference. For instance, the 50-year-old celebrity is actually not a fan of salmon.

“I know Jennifer doesn’t love salmon,” Fernandez, 33, shared during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly. “So if I’m cooking salmon for the [table], I always got to do a sea bass or a halibut or cod for Jennifer because she’s just not a fan of the texture and the taste of salmon.”

The ”Dance Again” actress and her family each have a varying appeal to food, Fernandez noted. According to the culinary expert, Lopez’s 12-year-old twins, Emme and Max, enjoy snacking on berries while the Puerto Rican crooner herself isn’t quite attuned to it.

“The kids love their fresh berries. There’s always greens like spinach, cucumber and celery to make green juice. They love starting their day with a green juice. Eggs is always the biggest one. Turkey bacon is always the biggest one,” Fernandez said.

Despite JLo’s disinterest in berries and the likes, the chef added that the family’s fridge is often packed with fruits and other healthy greens. “Sparkling water, always fruits and vegetables, like strawberries, even though Jennifer is not a big fruit person,” he said.

The food guru also explained how Lopez’s 44-year-old fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, always assures that he fills up the fridge with plenty of food for their big family.

As per Us Weekly, Rodriguez currently lives with Lopez and her twins, alongside his daughters Natasha, 15, and Ella, 12, whom he co-parents with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis. Meanwhile, Lopez shares her twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

“I think the most important thing is that the pantry is always stocked, the fridge is always stocked,” Fernandez explained in the interview. “The team does a very good job. I think what the most important thing is Jennifer and Alex love consistency, so the team does a great job following that up.”

On another note, Lopez and Rodriguez recently made headlines when they announced the postponement of their summer wedding in Italy, E! News reported. The couple was forced to delay their plans to tie the knot due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

According to the E! News source, the singer and former pro-athlete said they are considering new dates but don’t see the ceremony taking place anytime soon. Lopez and Rodriguez are still hoping that the “wedding of their dreams” will happen when the time is finally right.
