Little Mix will be missing one member in the coming months because Jesy Nelson is taking a break from the brand and it remains unknown when she will return.

Little Mix's publicist Simon Jones announced on Twitter that Nelson is taking a break due to her health. However, Jones did not go into detail about the particular health concern that’s plaguing Nelson.

"Jesy is having extended time off from Little Mix for private medical reasons," Jones wrote.

"We will not be issuing any further comment currently and ask media to please respect her privacy at this time."

Several netizens were sad upon hearing Nelson's hiatus. However, they are supportive of her decision and wished her well. Many of them sent Nelson love and said they would wait for her return.

"We will miss her so much but it’s important that she takes off all the time that she needs. Her health comes first always," one wrote.

"Get well soon bby ilysm take as much time as you need jesy we love you so much and health comes first always I miss you and love you so muchh!" another commented.

"Send all our love to her please. we look forward to seeing her again soon when she’s ready," a different netizen added.

"I know she won’t see this but I just hope she knows that we’re all sending her so much love and light," Talia Grace wrote.

The announcement came after the 29-year-old singer missed a number of appearances in the recent weeks. Many noticed when she didn't join Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock at the live finale of their BBC talent series "Little Mix The Search" that aired on Nov. 7. She was also absent from the MTV Europe Music Awards that the girl band hosted. The rep announced her absence at the MTV EMA’s a day before the event, E! News reported.

"Jesy is unwell and will not be appearing on tonight's final of Little Mix The Search," the band's rep said at the time. "She will also not be hosting or performing at tomorrow's MTV EMAs.”

In the 2019 BBC Three documentary, "Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out," she talked about her mental health struggles. Nelson said she was in pain and likened it to a feeling of "constantly being heartbroken."

"I remember going to the kitchen, and I just took as many tablets as I could. Then my ex, who was with me at the time, he woke up and was like, 'Why are you crying?' I kept saying, 'I just want to die,'" she recalled.

Nelson recognized the importance of social media and how it can build or destroy a person. In the documentary, she said she wanted to be a positive example for others who are going through the same pain.
