Johnny Depp and Amber Heard will face each other at a court in London on Monday.

According to Page Six, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star will make an appearance in court for the start of his trial against his ex-wife. Depp has reportedly suggested that Heard should be there too.

Depp is suing The Sun after the publication and its editor Dan Wooton called him a “wife-beater.” The actor is also suing Heard in the United States in a $50 million defamation case after the “Aquaman” star accused her ex-husband of abusing her. Depp claimed that Heard was the aggressor and not him.

Heard’s rep told the publication that the actress is very eager for the court hearing to push through amid the coronavirus pandemic. Depp is currently practicing social distancing at his chateau in the South of France. Heard, on the other hand, is in Los Angeles.

“Ms. Heard believes that the truth coming to light through the presentation of evidence in court will finally put an end to this abusive campaign. If she is required to testify in person, Ms. Heard will travel to London if she is legally permitted to do so … Otherwise, Ms. Heard will make sure that she is available to testify [via] video,” the actress’ rep said.

Meanwhile, Page Six also claimed that Depp lied about Heard injuring the tip of his finger during one of their heated fights. In the court documents obtained by Daily Mail last year, Depp said that his ex-wife was making false accusations to conceal the fact that her domestic abuse case against Depp had already been causing the actor grievous bodily harm.

“First, in the midst of our divorce case, Ms. Heard caused to be leaked to the media a fake story that I cut off my finger by punching a hole in a wall. Now, Ms. Heard has crafted a new, but equally fake, story that I cut off my finger by smashing a plastic phone to smithereens while violently beating her in a ‘three-day ordeal. Neither of these stories is true,” Depp said.
