Jordan Rodgers Wants Wedding With JoJo Fletcher To Be Private, Would Rather Not Televise It
Jordan Rodgers wants to keep his wedding with JoJo Fletcher intimate and away from the public eye.
On Wednesday, the “Bachelorette” Season 12 winner spoke with The Hollywood Reporter and opened up about his wedding to Fletcher. When asked if they are planning to televise their big day for the fans, Rodgers admitted that they have not yet decided and this is something that they still need to discuss.
“It’s something everyone always asks us. That’s something we would have to discuss together but very honestly, my first reaction would be that I would probably rather not,” he said. “There’s a distinct intimacy and privacy and it’s a very special moment with family and friends, and I wouldn’t want anything to tarnish that or to take away from that. It’s a time that I want to be able to honor my fiancée and soon-to-be wife and her family, and I want it to be ours.”

In addition, Rodgers and Fletcher haven’t heard from ABC yet regarding plans to televise their nuptials, so he is not sure if the network will even air it. For now, the couple is enjoying being engaged and have not yet set a wedding date. Rodgers explained that they are still figuring out their lives and are learning new things about each other every day. He added that he believes that when the right time comes, they will sit down and start planning their wedding.
The couple is also busy with their respective careers. Fletcher is flipping houses and doing real estate. Meanwhile, Rodgers is busy with his company and work at ESPN.
In an interview with Us Weekly in October 2016, Fletcher had also been undecided regarding the issue of broadcasting their wedding ceremony. “Maybe. It’s a really important day. The most important day of both of our lives, but we’re still figuring it out,” the former “Bachelorette” star said.
In the interview, Fletcher also revealed that Rodgers’ mom has already sent her her own wedding books. However, they were still struggling to find a location because Fletcher’s family resides in Dallas, while Rodgers’ is in California.
Although the couple has not yet started on their wedding plans and has not picked a wedding date, their relationship is going strong. On Sunday, Fletcher shared a photo of her with her fiancé on Instagram and thanked the fan who offered to take their photo after seeing them struggling to get a selfie.
