In the last episode, Aoi Todo wants to train his best friend, Yuji Itadori. Aoi believes people with good eyes will improve far more rapidly than those without. Yuji launches an attack using his fists and Aoi looks impressed.

However, when Yuji powers up to use Divergent First, Aoi manages to stop the attack using his forehead. Aoi tells Yuji his Divergent Fist is made by his cursed energy lagging behind his exceptional physical prowess when normally it should not lag. He calls it a tricky move.

He adds an average Jutsu user would never notice and would feel disoriented as it carries plenty of force. However, it will not work against a special-grade curse. Aoi goes on to explain how to properly channel the curse and execute the move.

Elsewhere, Kugisaki and Panda ridicule Nishimiya who is sitting on a tree. Kugisaki is challenging her and Mechamaru appears and attacks Panda.

He prepares to deal with Kugisaki but Nishimiya tells him she will fight the first-year student. Panda rises and goes after Mechamaru. The rest of the episode revolves around Mechamaru and Panda’s battle.
