On Jan. 21, K-Pop band BTS announced new 2020 concert dates for their upcoming Map of the Soul Tour. The stops, which include Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, mark the first time that the "Boy With Luv" singers have returned to the road following their 2019 two-month hiatus.

Now, thanks to the excitement of the ARMY, the group has broken an impressive record in only 72 hours.

According to Forbes, StubHub, a website known for allowing fans to buy and resell tickets to various events, revealed that within hours some of the 2020 dates for the Map of the Soul Tour sold out.

It was also said that the site saw "almost twice as many tickets sold for BTS as the entirety of the Super Bowl," which ended up amounting to a 560% growth for BTS in the first 72 hours. In comparison, Ariana Grande's successful 2019 Sweetener Tour saw a 378% growth, while Taylor Swift's 2020 Lover Tour witnessed an increase of 258%.

"The BTS 2020 tour is driving demand unlike anything we've seen from a pop act in recent years," Jeff Poirier stated, who is the general manager of music and theatre for StubHub.

The intense interest in tickets for the K-Pop group's new tour made them StubHub's top-selling artist over the course of the past 30 days, which meant that they outranked "Bad Guy" singer Billie Eilish, "White Iverson" rapper Post Malone, and My Chemical Romance, who recently announced their new 2020 reunion tour. Aside from the spike in ticket sales, other reports previously surfaced that obtaining a ticket to see the popular band may increasingly become more difficult due to another reason as well.

This achievement is certainly not the only impressive thing that the "Black Swan" group has accomplished in the past year. Not only did they receive a recent honor related to the Grammy Awards, but in the past they had also broken five other impressive records.
