It looks like Mady and Cara Gosselin didn’t want the attention of the world on their shoulders on their 15th birthday. The “Kate Plus 8” reality stars turned 15 on Thursday and their mom, Kate Gosselin, made it clear her eldest offspring didn’t want their mug shown online.

“Thanks 2 EVERYONE who wished Cara&Mady a happy birthday! They [loved] them!” the mom of eight wrote on Twitter. “Also- They wouldn’t approve any pics for me to post so no pics lol!”

Despite declining to share photos from Mady and Cara’s birthday, Kate, 40, assured fans they enjoyed their special day.

While fans of the TLC stars didn’t get a glimpse of the birthday girls, their dad, Jon Gosselin, appeased fans by posting a throwback photo. The 38-year-old former reality star turned DJ took to Twitter Thursday to wish his daughters a happy birthday. His post was accompanied by a shot of himself posing with Mady and Cara prior to their “Jon and Kate Plus 8” days.

While Jon doesn’t typically update on his children’s lives via Twitter, he did dish on his current relationship with them during a recent interview with Us Weekly. Jon, who also shares 11-year-old sextuplets Colin, Leah, Joel, Aaden, Alexis, Hannah and Leah with ex-wife Kate, said his kids were doing well.

"... The kids are getting along well together, [and I’m] just living a normal life and DJing,” he said. “Maybe it’s boring, [but] it’s a fresh of fresh air.”

It’s unknown if Jon saw Mady and Cara on their birthday. When recently asked about his custody situation, Jon said its “strange.”

“My custody with them is just like go out to dinner or whatever and then go home,” he revealed. "Their schoolwork... they’re really engrossed in school right now. And they still film."

“Kate Plus 8” is speculated to be filming new episodes. According to various reports, the show was scheduled to begin shooting over Labor Day weekend. The filming news came about after it was rumored that Kate’s speculated boyfriend, businessman Jeff Prescott, had declined to be a part of the show at the last minute out of fear of unwanted exposure. "He ended up canceling production plans just two days before the New York City shoot, after months of planning and preparation,” reported ET Online.
