Kate Hudson shared a "fun, silly tradition" that her family does during the holidays every year, which makes everyone scream.

"[A] Fujikawa tradition is we put a gift card in a big thing, a huge ball wrapped with newspaper and there are things within it," the mother of three told People over the weekend. "We do a song, we pass the ball around really fast, and then you have to tear it apart as fast as you can until the song comes on again."

"It's a really fun, silly tradition, and everybody's screaming," the 43-year-old actress added.

Hudson has three kids - Ryder Robinson, 18, Bingham Hawn Bellamy, 11 and Rani Rose, 4. The "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery" star shares Ryder with ex-husband, musician Chris Robinson while she shares Bingham with singer Matt Bellamy.

The actress shares Rani with her fiancé Danny Fujikawa.

Aside from sharing fun traditions for holidays, the actress also shared that "Santa Claus will always show up" at her house.

"I can't believe it, but he always ends up there. It's just wild how that happens," she joked. "We always put out our cookies and milk. But Santa sometimes comes early and leaves us notes and asks us to leave certain things because he knows how good we are at changing it up."

Hudson went on to share that some years Santa demands "rum and coke and licorice" while some years he wants some hot tea and banana bread. She added, "It just depends on how Santa's feeling and what time it is."

On the work front, Hudson was recently seen in the crime drama, "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery," which was dropped on Dec. 23, featuring Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Dave Bautista and Janelle Monáe.

The actress will be next seen in a comedy flick, "A Little White Lie," which is slated to release on Feb. 23. The movie is helmed and penned by Michael Maren. It will also star Michael Shannon, Wendie Malick, Don Johnson, Zach Braff and Peyton List.

Hudson revealed earlier this month that she has been writing music since she was 19 and announced that she is planning to release her debut album next year.
