Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have received very different treatments when they first joined the royal family.

And after Prince Harry and Markle announced their decision to quit, the Duchess of Cambridge thrived even more. Instead of struggling, Prince William’s wife continues to thrive.

While speaking with Express, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams praised the future queen.

“Whether it is her commitment to helping children, the enchanting gardens she designs or her status as a fashion icon Kate is certainly thriving and attracting extremely positive global coverage at a time when the monarchy unquestionably needs her undoubted abilities,” he said.

The difficult period that is being faced by the royal family at the moment is handled by Middleton impeccably and imaginatively. The Duchess of Cambridge used the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s bombshell exit as an opportunity to focus on her royal projects.

“Her latest engagement was a fine example of how she combined her commitment to children’s welfare with her creative side. She joined a workshop run by the National Portrait Gallery’s Hospital Program which encourages creativity in children. She is a Patron of the Gallery and a keen photographer,” he said.

Middleton also stepped up to help the Queen last week when she hosted her first-ever reception at Buckingham Palace with Prince William. The event was reportedly highly successful.

However, not everyone shares Fitzwilliams’ sentiments. A source told Us Weekly that Middleton has actually been struggling after Prince Harry and Markle’s exit because of her added workload.

The Duchess of Cambridge reportedly has 18-hour workdays, and she is unable to rest. Every time she tries to sleep, she is kept awake by her never-ending thoughts.

It is unclear if these claims are true because Middleton looked fresh and well-rested the last time that she stepped out in public. But at that time, she made headlines for an entirely different reason.

The Duchess of Cambridge suffered a wardrobe malfunction on her way to a children’s hospital in London.
