Kate Middleton will be put at the forefront as Queen Elizabeth II steps back more.

Just recently, it was reported that the Duchess of Cambridge hired an old college friend Virginia Chadwyck Healey to be her new interim stylist. Middleton’s current stylist Natasha Archer is on maternity leave and she needs one to dress her up given her tight schedule and mother duties to her three children.

According to a royal expert Victoria Arbiter, Middleton needs someone to help her out with her wardrobe as the duchess isn’t remotely interested in being a clothes horse, but she appreciates that she has to dress the role. Arbiter added that Middleton has to do this because she’ll be taking more duties.

“I think Kate is aware that with these types of engagements, given that the Queen is stepping back a little bit more, Kate is going to be at the forefront and has to dress the role,” Arbiter said on “Today.”

Middleton’s new stylist, Healey, worked at Vogue for 12 years. She is a friend to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. She was even present at their royal wedding in 2011.

Arbiter praised Healey’s work and pointed out her “defined style” that includes curating and creating and reducing down a wardrobe and bringing it back up again.

“So I think certainly while Natasha is on maternity leave, Virginia is filling the space brilliantly,” Arbiter added.

Just recently, the Duchess of Cambridge and Queen made their first joint outing after seven years. During their royal engagement, Middleton kept an eye on the monarch who appeared “vulnerable.”

Emily Andrews who was present at the King’s College event admitted that she was “fearful” that something could happen to Her Majesty as she seemed struggling to “put her feet up” and walk on uneven surfaces. However, she noticed how Prince William’s wife would always be a step behind while keeping her eye on the Queen.

According to Diana Clehane, author of “Imagining Diana,” Queen Elizabeth and Midleton’s outing was timed purposely. They decided to go out together as the monarch was aware of all the attention Meghan Markle was getting due to her pregnancy. Queen Elizabeth II believed going out with Middleton was a good time to offer the Duchess of Cambridge “a public show of support ” because she is “very fond” of the royal mom of three.
