Katharine McPhee is enjoying motherhood and is not in a rush to get back to her pre-baby body.

McPhee gave birth to her first child with husband David Foster, a baby boy named Rennie David, in February. A month later, McPhee is not feeling any pressure to shed the extra weight she gained during her pregnancy because she's too happy to think about it.

"I thought I would have this pressure [to bounce back] but I've just been so grateful and happy that I've had a healthy baby and I've felt really good, emotionally and physically," the "Smash" star told People. "I'm so happy that I don't have this crazy pressure yet to fit into whatever jeans I have in my closet."

"I don't even think about them right now! In my everyday life, I would have an event coming up or need to work out and it's just really nice to have a break and be happy where I am," she added.

McPhee added that she feels so natural after giving birth. She's also very proud of her baby because "he's been so good."

McPhee revealed the name of her baby on "Today." However, the "Terrified" singer later shared that the surprise revelation didn't sit well with her husband.

"My husband was kind of annoyed. I said, 'What was I supposed to say? Nothing like, I'm sorry, we're not sharing the name,'" McPhee was quoted by Entertainment Tonight as saying when she appeared on SiriusXM’s "The Jess Cagle Show." "Cause we don't want to be like that pretentious over the name, but it's the only kind of thing you can hold on to that feels private, that you can kind of keep."

"But Hoda just asked me on the Today show... and I didn't want to be like, 'Sorry, we're not sharing it'... You can't say no to Hoda. My husband's friends with her too. He's just like, 'It's the only thing we have to keep private.' And I'm like, 'I'm sorry. She asked me the question,'" she recalled.

McPhee is enjoying her time with her family. According to her, she wakes up at 5 a.m., and she and her son listen to Foster's piano album "Eleven Words." They also make sure to enjoy their family moment before they sleep.

"And at night before we put him in his room, it's just the three of us in bed. We take lots of pictures! It's really sweet," she added.
